But today we’re going to look at some foods and drinks that will help you stay smokin’ in your swimsuit ’til fall.
The LAST thing anybody wants to do is feel chained to a ‘diet’ when they’re on vacation.

Who doesn’t feel a sense of nostalgia… and refreshment… when diving into a juicy slice of watermelon?
Watermelon is a great way to satisfy your thirst… as well as your cravings for sweet treats.
It’s been shown in studies to be a high-lycopene food; which is a nutrient that is important to heart health.
Plus, it’s great for helping you cleanse your body of unwanted toxins.
Other studies show that watermelon is most nutritious around the rind, the lighter-colored part of the fruit.
Plus it’s rich in phenolic antioxidants, flavonoids, lycopene, and Vitamin C.
2. Grilled Zucchini
Recently the Journal of Nutrition followed eating habits of women for approximately 2 years and found that those who increase their fiber intake generally lose weight, and visa versa.
Boosting your fiber intake by 8 grams for every 1,000 calories you consume results in approximately 4.5 pounds of weight loss. So if you eat 2,000 calories per day, increase fiber by 16 grams.
One of my favorite fiber-rich foods is grilled zucchini. It’s only 30 calories per cup, and you’ll find 3 grams of fiber per cup.
Instead of potatoes, rice, or pasta, I love to make zucchini NOODLES with a vegetable peeler, or even grill it up with meats.
3. Green Gazpacho
Cold soups are a summer favorite all over the country.
You’ll find tomato gazpacho with chunky vegetables, or you will find exotic watermelon gazpachos that refresh your body and your palate.
My favorite gazpacho is Cucumber Mint or Cucumber Dill gazpacho.
Here’s my “nearly world-famous”…
Cucumber Mint Gazpacho RECIPE
- 2 Cucumbers, deseeded and cubed
- 1 Lg. Yellow Pepper, deseeded and chopped
- 4 Cloves Garlic
- 2 Small Avocadoes
- 2 Bunches Spring Onions, Chopped
- 1 Bunch Mint, Chopped
- 1/2 Cup Full-Fat Organic Feta Cheese, crumbled
- 4 Tbsp White Wine Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 Cup Grape Tomatoes
- In food processor or blender, blend cucumber, pepper, garlic, avocado, onions, mint, and 1/2 the feta together.
- Chill for 2 hours in fridge.
- Garnish with Tomatoes, Feta cheese and sprinkles of delicious organic olive oil
Cucumbers are absolutely refreshing, nutritious, and beneficial to weight loss!
4. Spinach-Strawberry Salads
Anybody who knows me knows that I LOVE to make delicious salads as meals.
Some of the many benefits include them being:

- Quick and Easy to Make!
My absolute favorite summer salad is Spinach-Strawberry Salad.
Spinach is one of the most fiber-packed health foods on the planet. It’s absolutely chock-full of vitamins and minerals.
Spinach Strawberry Salad RECIPE
- 8 Cups Raw Baby Spinach
- 1 Cup Strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 Cup Crumbled Blue or Feta Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Raw Almonds or Walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 Cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 1/2 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 Cup Black Chia or Hemp Seeds (soak chia seeds for 15 minutes before serving)
- 1 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Chopped Dill
- Mix everything except vinegar and EVOO together in a bowl and serve chilled.
- Dress salad 15 minutes before serving.
For a real crowd-pleaser, I’ll sometimes garnish my salad with crumbled bacon.

That scientists at the Suntory Research Center decided to study the effects of SlimTea on the absorption of carbohydrates.
As you probably know, eating a lot of carbs all at once can cause your blood sugar to spike.
