Lose 5 Pounds Per Week, Fight Cancer and Lower Cholesterol with this Simple Trick
Tips for eating healthy and losing weight seem to be everywhere these days but if you’re like me, not many of these “tips” work and a lot of them are hard to stick with. Especially when you don’t see quick results, it’s hard to stay motivated. I personally am terrible about keeping to a diet, drinking juice only for 3 days might help me lose a few pounds but that isn’t something I can do regularly nor is it healthy. Even though I already eat pretty clean, minimal sugar or caffeine and mostly lean proteins, fruits and vegetables I still wasn’t losing any weight.
That’s why when I saw my results after just 30 days I absolutely had to share them with you! I’m a single mom of 2 and life gets more than hectic at times. I live in a very rural area, the closest town is a 30 minute drive, there is only 1 gym and it doesn’t offer childcare so that wasn’t an option for me. Working full time and homeschooling my kids means there isn’t enough hours left in the day to meal plan and prep or count calories.
I needed something quick, easy and simple.
So here’s what I found…Cinnamon and SlimTea!
These 2 things are what helped me finally get rid of my bloated tummy that I would try to hide by pulling my jeans up over it. I can actually see my abs and I didn’t have to do a single crunch to find them! The combination of the cinnamon and SlimTea helped me torch off that stomach fat and it only took a few minutes out of my day.
Every morning I brew 16 ounces of water with a cinnamon stick and 1 of our new Kenyan SlimTea bags for 5 minutes. I drink 8 ounces of my warm Cinnamon SlimTea 30 minutes before breakfast and I drink the remaining 8 ounces iced 30 minutes before lunch. Before bed I make a cocktail by boiling 8 ounces of water, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of honey. SlimTea revs your metabolism to torch body fat so I don’t drink it late in the evening.
For an even faster routine you can take a Cinnamon Capsule (1000mg) with 1 SlimTea Capsule and 8 ounces of water 30 minutes before breakfast and 30 minutes before lunch for the same fat burning effects! You can’t beat that for convenience and efficiency!
Although almost every household has Cinnamon, very few people actually know the amazing health benefits it has. I keep seeing new uses for Coconut Oil popping up all over the place and Cinnamon seems to be just as diverse. From lowering cholesterol and fighting all kinds of diseases like cancer, neurogenerative diseases, bacterial and fungal infections and diabetes it can even be used to make your own makeup or self-tanner!
In addition to all of the amazing health benefits of Cinnamon, it has a lot of household uses as well!
- Add a few drops of Cinnamon Oil to your candle warmers or dry potpourri for an amazing aroma throughout your home. Or you can even put a few drops directly on a cool light bulb for when it heats up.
- Mix crushed cinnamon with cloves and black peppercorns, wrap in cheesecloth and ward off pesky moths from your clothes drawers and closets.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon with 4 tablespoons of honey and apply to your face like a mask. Leave it to sit for a few hours then rinse with warm water, the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties are highly effective for acne and other blemishes.
- You can also apply the Cinnamon and Honey mixture to bug bites for itch relief that also disinfects and moisturizes to help the area heal faster.
- Make your own bronzer by combining Cinnamon, Cornstarch and Cocoa Powder to your desired color. Add your favorite lotion for an instant sunless tanner!
There are 2 different types of Cinnamon, Ceylon and Cassia…Cassia is the most commonly found on the spice aisle at your local market and although it has the same benefits, Ceylon Cinnamon is what you should be looking for. Ceylon Cinnamon is more pure and has a higher cinnamaldehyde content which is the substance responsible for most of the health benefits.
Like SlimTea, Cinnamon is full of antioxidants and polyphenols, in a scientific study done comparing the antioxidant levels of 26 spices Cinnamon knocked them all out of the park…you can check out the study here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16190627 Where onion and garlic are often referred to as, “Superfoods” this research showed that Cinnamon far outranks them both.
Because of these antioxidants Cinnamon is actually a very strong anti-inflammatory, I’ve actually exchanged all of my household pain relievers like ibuprofen and acetaminophen for Cinnamon. My dad who suffers from regular migraines takes a Cinnamon and a SlimTea capsule whenever he feels a migraine coming on and kicks it within 45 minutes…chemical free! Headache and migraine pain comes from the expansion of blood vessels. The caffeine found in SlimTea helps constrict the blood vessels while the antioxidants from the Cinnamon reduce pain and inflammation.
Other studies have shown that as little as 120mg of Cinnamon per day reduces LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while stabilizing HDL cholesterol and has been proven in animal studies to reduce blood pressure. This could be the magic trick for diabetics who are insulin resistant as Cinnamon has been show to significantly increase the body’s sensitivity to insulin and can help lower blood sugar levels. It’s been shown to decrease the levels of glucose that enters the bloodstream by slowing the breakdown of carbohydrates in your digestive system.
The medicinal properties in Cinnamon have even been used to inhibit protein buildup in the brain that causes Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease. It’s even toxic to cancer cells and activates enzymes in the body that help protect against cancer. Combined with its anti-inflammatory properties this could be a huge improvement on current cancer treatments. You can find a ton of other uses with a simple google search or even on Pinterest.
